Metal and marble sideboard

I couldn’t wait to share this really cool sideboard I saw at HomeGoods with you. If you are looking for a statement piece that could also handle hot buffet plates, spillage, and the like, this would be perfect. The legs are nickel-colored and have a texture, so not brushed and flawless. The top I called marble because I am not sure what else to call it, but I am sure it’s not real marble. Just as well, since real marble requires frequent sealing, and might develop stains or cracks. What I also like here is that there is a pearlized appearance that gives it the ever so slight shimmer, which elevates it from a merely functional existence to something both elegant and functional. I did not take measurements, but it is a decent-sized piece. My guess would be about 5 feet across.

It was wedged between two other large items at the store so taking its picture wasn’t easy, but hopefully you can see enough. It would go well in a transitional or glam decor, but anywhere really where you need a durable surface that looks elegant, for not a whole lot of money.

Let me know what you think. Cheers!
